7/29/2006: Replaced Manifold to Turbo Flange Gasket

6 hours worth of back breaking labor removing the turbo manifold/turbo unit just to replace the blown to bits flange gasket. The summer heat didn't  help the process  either. I am seriously thinking about investing in a portable Air Conditioner unit for "Q-Garage". The truth is I want to crank on these cars all the time but just don't want to deal with the heat and humidity of Texas Summer.

Here is a genuine Nissan 4 bolts turbo flange gasket. It's much stronger (virtually indestructible) than the cheap paper one. Installation involved turbo/manifold unit removal and disassembly, replacing the gasket, and reassembly. It's a good idea to use some red thread lock on the flange nuts because vibration will loosen the nuts. I definitely don't want to spend 6 hours again breaking my back on this. Hopefully this will last me through the season before the big tear down for a built motor.
