08/11/2007: Motorsport Ranch Houston

It was a very hot weekend. These are all the photos I could find since I was not on the big track very much. Motorsport Ranch Houston is a real race track. There is something about driving on a real race track that sets it apart from a parking lot. For once, you really have to watch your driving line. If you are off then it means you are going to be off the track. Driving on rocky gravels and grass and mud is not lot of fun. I did not want to push it. Plenty of people went off track ripping off their side skirts, front aeros, fenders.... etc.

Thanks z28Evans and bullit0519 for the photos.

It was about 100F but it felt like 110F. The in car temperature was probably at least 120F. I should  install a thermometer in the cockpit.

These are the close up of above photos. I finally got a match set of 18x9.5 in the back. they are wrapped with 225/40/18. Even though they are only 225, the tires has more grip than the 235/40/17 I had before. Combine this with the heat, the clutch was starting to feel spongy.
